| New
Reproductive Technologies – Adoption |
| |
The Organization for the Protection
of Children’s Rights (O.P.C.R.) organized a 3rd
International Conference on the Child with the theme:
«New Reproductive Technologies - Adoption».
The conference was held at the Marriott Château Champlain
Hotel on May 21, 22 and 23, 1997.
|
|
| New reproductive technologies along
with the globalization of adoption render the practice and ethics
associated with the protection of children’s rights more complex.
The 3rd International Conference on the Child provided an important
and essential forum for a global reflection on the importance of promoting
and defending children’s rights in these areas. |
|
| Prominent speakers
presented their research date on such issues as: |
|
| • |
«Rights of
the Child and Reproductive Medicine» |
| • |
«The Importance
of the History in the Pre-natal Life and the Need to Know» |
| • |
«Children,
Oppression and New Reproductive Technologies and Practices» |
| • |
«Beyond biology:
Adoption and reproductive policies» |
| • |
«Reproductive
Technologies Real and Symbolic Impacts on the Child and Childhood» |
|
|
| Through this initiative, the
Organization for the Protection of Children’s Rights
managed to bring together professionals who want to ensure the best
development possible for the child and family |
